Registration Steps

Please follow these steps to aid in the registration process:

1. Call Edgemoor Community Center main office at (302) 762-1391.
2. Meet with program staff:
   • Barbara Pierce: Director of Early Childhood Education
   • Molly Engel: Assistant Director of Early Childhood Development
   • Brandon Furrowh: Director of Youth & Recreation Programs (School-Age Care)
3. Tour facility
4. Complete required forms available at the Center
5. Submit required records and documents
    

DE Purchase of Care Program

Edgemoor Community Center (ECC) accepts enrollment by families using Purchase of Care (POC). About 25% of the families enrolled in ECC childcare receive POC.

Sponsored by the Delaware Division of Social Services (DSS), POC assists qualifying parents/guardians with childcare payments. Parents must meet with a DSS caseworker to determine eligibility and co-payment. If approved, the parent must present ECC with documentation and pay weekly co-payment.

If ECC has reached the limit for POC enrollment, the parent may request Self Arranged Care through DSS. If approved, the parent is responsible for full tuition / fees, but will be reimbursed for a portion of the fee.

For both programs, eligibility is determined by financial need and attendance.

Voluntary Withdrawal of Child:

Two week written advance notice of withdrawal of a child from the program is required. If a written two-week notice is not submitted, you will be obligated to pay the weekly fee for the remaining two-week period regardless of whether the child attends during that time.

In the event of a voluntary withdrawal from one of our programs for any reason, a child may not re-enroll in an ECC program for a period of one month following.
